Perspective of Greta Thunberg

Hi, my name is Greta Thunberg. I am an 18-year-old Swedish environmental activist challenging world leaders to take immediate action for climate change mitigation. 
When I first learned about climate change at school, I wasn't just shocked to hear that our planet is destructing from human activities, but also shocked that no one is standing up for this issue, That is why I started with what I can do, which was to become vegan, stop flying, have a shop stop, and communicate what is happening, putting pressure on people in power. 
When I was 15, I skipped school on Fridays to protest outside parliament for more action against climate change. I should have been in school, spending time studying. Yet, I had to protest, in the sake of our future. 
We are in the midst of the sixth mass extinction. Our leaders need to start acting accordingly. We will not let you get away with this, this is where we draw the line to prevent climate change.

    I was really surprised when I saw Greta Thunberg on TV. Of course I also learned about climate change at school but I didn’t think so seriously like her. But it was true that many countries changed their action by the effect of her protesting. So I think raising voice is very important. However, it is also true that not every people act like her. So, I think it is important to act for world climate from a small step like recycling plastic bottles or don’t use gasoline car. Also, comparing to other countries, Japan less contributes to the solve climate problem. So I think we have to consider measurements for that.

Which country is most active and successful in preventing climate change?  According to the Climate Change performance index 2020 results, Sweden ranked first, after Denmark and Morocco. Many european countries were ranked high and this is because they implemented a european climate law, with an objective of climate-neutral EU by 2050. It also targets a reduction of greenhouse gas emissions of at least 55% by 2030 compared to 1990. EU will also aim for a higher volume of of carbon net sink by 2030. I believe that it is these specific goals that the EU made, which makes them rank high in the performance index. FYI, the United States of America is ranked the lowest in the index.  7. Questions 11,12,13,14,15

 Hey guys, today I would like to answer Questions 11, 12, 13, 14, and 15. 11. Which country is least active on climate change?  It is hard to decide which country is least active in climate change, since there are countries that are in a poor situation that they don't have the knowledge or time to face this issue. Yet, in the Climate Change Performance Index, Saudi Arabia is ranked last, after the United States of America. I can assume that Saudi Arabia is the worst since their major source that runs their economy is oil, which emits greenhouse gases into the air. I however cannot think of why America is ranked the second to last. America claims to be the best and richest country in the world, but is ranked very low among an global issue that will be affecting our ancestors. The reasons why they are ranked low is because of their withdrawal from the Paris Agreement in 2016, and lack of national level targets.  12.
