Reflection of presentation

On July 15, I had a presentation introducing my new NGO I would like to make, AFE (All For Earth). This NGO seeks for a more educated society among climate change, and also the reducement of food waste.  As I got the feedbacks about my presentation from my classmates and the professor, I would like to go over what I could have done better. First, I had too much goals to accomplish for a NGO. There were so many things I wanted to do to attack climate change. Yet, it was unrealistic to accomplish all of them. Therefore, I would like to change my goal into just spreading knowledge to people around the world, by having speeches at elementary schools and middle schools about the current situation of earth and how we can save our earth.  Looking through my feedbacks, I was happy to see that people thought the ideas I came up with to spread knowledge was interesting, such as creating holidays like vegan week, plant a plant day, and public  transportation day.

Questions 11,12,13,14,15

Hey guys, today I would like to answer Questions 11, 12, 13, 14, and 15. 11. Which country is least active on climate change?  It is hard to decide which country is least active in climate change, since there are countries that are in a poor situation that they don't have the knowledge or time to face this issue. Yet, in the Climate Change Performance Index, Saudi Arabia is ranked last, after the United States of America. I can assume that Saudi Arabia is the worst since their major source that runs their economy is oil, which emits greenhouse gases into the air. I however cannot think of why America is ranked the second to last. America claims to be the best and richest country in the world, but is ranked very low among an global issue that will be affecting our ancestors. The reasons why they are ranked low is because of their withdrawal from the Paris Agreement in 2016, and lack of national level targets.  12. How dangerous are cows' gas emissions to the environment?  You g

Questions 6,7,9,10

Welcome back to my blog. Next, I will like to answer some more questions I listed in the earlier blog, number 6,7,9, and 10.  6. Which country is most active and successful in preventing climate change?  According to the Climate Change performance index 2020 results, Sweden ranked first, after Denmark and Morocco. Many european countries were ranked high and this is because they implemented a european climate law, with an objective of climate-neutral EU by 2050. It also targets a reduction of greenhouse gas emissions of at least 55% by 2030 compared to 1990. EU will also aim for a higher volume of of carbon net sink by 2030. I believe that it is these specific goals that the EU made, which makes them rank high in the performance index. FYI, the United States of America is ranked the lowest in the index.  7. How did the pandemic affect climate change Before reading some articles, I thought that climate change will be affected due to the pandemic since people will stay home using a lot

Question 1-5

Hey guys, welcome back to my blog. Today, I'd like to answer some of the questions I listed on the earlier posts about climate change. The questions i'll be answering will be number 1-5.  1. Climate change is caused from out human activities. The greenhouse gases we emit warms our earth since it prevents the escape of heat radiating from Earth to space. The gases categorized as greenhouse gas are carbon dioxide, water vapor, methane, and nitrous oxide. Carbon dioxide is released through natural processes such as respiration and volcano eruptions and through human activities such as deforestation and burning fossil fuels. Water vapor is the most abundant greenhouse gas. It increases as Earth's atmosphere warms. Methane is produced through both natural sources and human activities: decomposition of wastes in landfills, cow gas emission, ruminant digestion, and agriculture, to name a few. Nitrous oxide is a powerful greenhouse gas produced through cultivation practices such as

Perspective of Jair Bolsanaro

Hi my name is Jair Bolsanaro, and I am the current president of Brazil. I was elected in 2018, and this is my third year pursuing my duty. I simply do not care about climate change. Journalists criticize me for destructing Amazon rainforest, but as long as countries don't give us money, we do not know what will happen to the Amazon. I am only interested in using the climate to extort money. The Amazon is ours, not yours.

Perspective of Greta Thunberg

Hi, my name is Greta Thunberg. I am an 18-year-old Swedish environmental activist challenging world leaders to take immediate action for climate change mitigation.  When I first learned about climate change at school, I wasn't just shocked to hear that our planet is destructing from human activities, but also shocked that no one is standing up for this issue, That is why I started with what I can do, which was to become vegan, stop flying, have a shop stop, and communicate what is happening, putting pressure on people in power.  When I was 15, I skipped school on Fridays to protest outside parliament for more action against climate change. I should have been in school, spending time studying. Yet, I had to protest, in the sake of our future.  We are in the midst of the sixth mass extinction. Our leaders need to start acting accordingly. We will not let you get away with this, this is where we draw the line to prevent climate change.
